"Sagrantino" 2016/17

The Azienda Scacciadiavoli is one of the oldest estates in the Montefalco region. The name "Scacciadiavoli," which means "devil's banisher," originates from an incident in the 17th century. The story tells of a girl possessed by the devil, to whom the exorcist gave the local red wine to drink, expelling the devil.

The great-grandfather of the current owners acquired the estate in the mid-20th century, and the 18th-century winery was restored and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. In the fourth generation of the Pambuffeti family, Iacopo, Amilcare, Liù, Romeo, and Fiammetta are currently dedicated to the Azienda.
